Description

Set in a lush garden amidst the trees, Natures Valley Guest House is a place where you can put up your feet for a while and enjoy an almost unspoilt creation. From the sundeck you can hear waves sigh and watch the sunbird darting amongst the brilliant bougainvillea. On your stroll to the only shop you can encounter a shy bushbuck, or a wildpig or if you are walking along the 5km of sandy white beach you can spot whales and dolphins or even occasional leopard spoor. The beach and lagoon are only 200m from the guesthouse.

HOME FROM HOME COMFORT IN NATURES OWN PARADISE - Nature's Valley is at the end of the 5 day Otter Hiking Trail and the beginning of the Tsitsikamma Hiking Trail, making Natures Valley Guest House an ideal site for hikers to overnight at before venturing out on the trails. The hearty breakfast served charges up the batteries for the day's activities, and a shuttle service is available to take drivers back to pick up cars at Stormsriver mouth (R200). . ...... Set in a lush garden amidst the trees, you can relax and hear the waves sigh from the sundeck, encounter a shy bushbuck or watch whales frolic in the waves on your stroll down the 5km stretch of sandy white beach only 200m from the house.

The house is double storey thatch and brick with 3 en-suite and three double rooms all leading out onto the garden.

Natures Valley is at the end of the famous Otter hiking trail and the beginning of the Tsitsikamma trail, making the Guest house an ideal site for hikers to stay overnight before venturing out on the trails. The optional hearty breakfast charges up the batteries for the days activities, and a shuttle service is available to transport hikers to the start of the trails.

Directions

Directions from Cape Town via George and Knysna to Plettenberg Bay When leaving Cape Town stay and follow the N2 highway East from Cape Town towards George and Port Elizabeth. You will pass the following towns, Caledon, Riversonderend, Swellendam, Heiledberg, Riverdale, Albertinia, Mossel Bay, George, Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna. The traveling time from Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay is approx 5-6 hours traveling 120km/h. Just remember that when you go through the towns mentioned above you need to travel 60km/h otherwise you will get trapped. There are a couple of prime spots where you are lightly to get a speeding fine, just as you are coming into Caledon, Just as you are coming into Riversonderend, just as you are coming into George, as you travel down the Kaaimans Pass between George and Wilderness there are 2 cameras and you need to be going 60km/p. There is a permanent camera on your way into Plettenberg Bay and the speed there is also 60km/p. Once you arrive in George everything slows down and from there it will take you aprox 1 hour and 30min to get to Plettenberg Bay so sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery that the Garden Route has to offer. Pass the town of George and continue on to Knysna. Drive through the town and leave Knysna on the N2 highway towards Plettenberg Bay. from Knysna to Plett is 30km and this should take you 30-45min...you will drive through the Hakerville forests and you will also pass the Garden of Eden. Directions from Port Elizabeth to Plett Directions from Port Elizabeth to Plettenberg Bay South Africa You need to get onto the N2 heading toward Cape Town. This trip to Plettenberg Bay from Port Elizabeth is going to take approx 2 hours and 30 min its about 230km and you can travel 120 km/h for most of the way. The towns that you will be passing and going through are Jeffery's Bay, St Francis, Humansdorp, Storms River and Natures Valley. Tsitsikamma is a true reflection of the Famous Garden Route. This region consists of rugged coastline flanked by tall mountains, sea, rivers, estuaries, magnificent indigenous forests, hills, fynbos, and abundant wildlife it is advisable to pack a picnic basket or one can stop at any of the tea gardens along the way. About 40 km out of Plettenberg Bay you will get a Toll Gate and in 2008 the cost is R10.50 per car. About 5km from Plettenberg Bay you cross the Keurbooms River Bridge and Forever Resort and from there you can relax cause your holiday in Plettenberg Bay is about to beging.
