Located in a quiet suburb of East London, Quarry Lake Inn is a four-star, AA Superior graded guest house, overlooking the peaceful Quarry Lake. The Quarry supports an eco-friendly environment and the planting of indigenous trees and plants is encouraged, to ensure that the natural surroundings are maintained. Birdlife abounds in this tranquil setting.

The Inn is ideal for both business and leisure travel to East London, the gateway to the unspoilt Wild Coast and birthplace of Nelson Mandela. Close to all business and sports facilities, hospitals, shopping, as well as restaurants, it is really ideally situated for all needs.

Accommodation

Quarry Lake Inn has 16 elegantly furnished rooms, opening onto balconies or gardens overlooking the swimming pool and tranquil lake. All spacious bedrooms have private entrances, king-size extra-length or twin beds, some with a double sleeper-couch for children, en-suite bathrooms with separate shower.

Other facilities include a safe for valuables, tea/coffee trays, microwave, stocked bar-fridge,as well as air-conditioning, wireless internet access and satellite television. All facilities at Quarry Lake Inn are wheel-chair accessible and one of the bedrooms has a fully wheelchair-friendly en-suite bathroom with roll-in shower, meeting all standard requirements for mobility impaired guests.

Breakfast

A hearty breakfast is served in the country-style dining room or on the sun-drenched deck. The friendly staff of Quarry Lake Inn will recommend a nearby restaurant for dinner.

Directions

Follow R72 from Airport across Buffalo Bridge, until turnoff to M4 is reached to the left. Take left turn onto M4 ( Pearce St ) and follow until you see Medicross Hospital and Brown Sign for Quarry Lake Inn. Turn left here into The Quarry and the Inn is ahead to the left, well sign posted. If coming from N2 (Durban/Wild Coast ), take exit 1049 to the left, follow R72 onto M4( turn right onto M4 )and proceed as above.
