This easily accessible, owner managed hotel is situated in the heart of Coffee Bay on the Eastern Cape Wild Coast.

The accent here is on friendly service in a comfortable environment. Guests are encouraged to curl up and read a book in the airy, spacious lounges, relax under an umbrella beside the private pool, or make new friends in the convivial pub.

For the more adventurous guests there?s plenty to do ? from abseiling down a sheer cliff face with the waves raging and swirling at its base, to exhilarating guided quad bike excursions.

Hiking and walking are popular leisure options ? with a variety of routes to suit all ages and degrees of fitness.
The hotel is separated from the sea by a small coastal forest, but the beach is a short walk away through the Milkwood grove, and the sound of the waves on a still summer?s night is the promise of a glorious day of sea, sun and sand.

Breakfast and dinner are included in the rate, and meals here are a leisurely affair.

Guests can start the day with a hearty full English breakfast and linger over a tasty four-course dinner every evening. Pub lunches are served daily at the bar or out on the deck.

Her fortunes have waxed and waned over the years – but the grand old lady of Coffee Bay is set to take centre stage again.

Now in the care of the owners of Ocean View Hotel , the hotel has been renamed the Coffee Bay Hotel & Conference Centre and is waiting to welcome back old friends and introduce new ones to the magic and mystery of this very special patch of the Wild Coast.

The hotel is separated from the sea by a stretch of indigenous coastal forest, and the glorious beaches of Coffee Bay are a short walk away through the Milkwood grove.

The spacious lounge and bar area invite guests to kick off their shoes and de-stress in a relaxed, friendly environment. The lounge is furnished with comfy couches ideal for curling up on with a good book, while the pool table and dart board are a draw card for guests wanting to meet the locals and enjoy a beer or two.

Mealtimes are laid back affairs here, with no dressing for dinner required. Guests can choose to eat on the deck, at the pool or in the air-conditioned smoke-free dining room.

Breakfast and dinner are included in the daily rate and tasty pub lunches are served daily.

For those mums and dads who deserve some peace and quiet at dinner times, arrangements can be made for a babysitter to take care of the children. Although the hotel does not have a separate children’s dining room, the little ones can eat earlier if parents prefer.
