Description

Gonubie's beach is one of South Africa's blue flag beaches. Whales and dolphins can be seen form the cliffs above the lagoon. Water activities such as river and rock fishing, surfing, paddling and boating are enjoyed by visitors from all over the world.

The Gonubie River  is navigable for 5 km and is a perfect spot for picnics. The Gonubie Nature Reserve is established around a coastal wetland and is home to over 160 species of birds. The Kwelera Nature Reserve is located just north of Gonubie.
